W.A.C.O.
(The Work and College Opportunities Project)

The program is collaboration between the Center on Disability and Development at Texas A&M University, DARS-DBS Transition Program, and the Brazos Valley Center for Independent Living. Participants in the program gain development and instruction in professionalism, self-determination, and teamwork as well as development of vocational skills, career exploration, and independent living skills. This is the first year that the program has collaborated with the Department of Horticultural Sciences. Andrew King, Corey Wahl, and Gerald Burgner have been working with the students teaching basic horticultural principles and skills.
