as we welcome renowned desert researcher Dr.
Mary Seely for the next installment of our 2013 seminar series.
Seely, the 2013 recipient of the Farouk El-Baz Award for Desert Research,
is a current board member and former director of the Gobabeb Research and Training Centre of Walvis Bay, Namibia, Africa.
Her
seminar lecture will review initiatives of Gobabeb as well as her
own research and its implications. She will highlight the role that
Texas students have played through collaboration between the Gobabeb
Centre and Texas A&M University’s Department of Agricultural
