Grad Student Appreciation Week Events 4/1-4/5:



Graduate and professional students are an integral part of Texas A&M University and comprise of approximately 20% of the student population as of spring 2013. This year Texas A&M University will again participate in the National Graduate and Professional Student AppreciationWeek, which will be held April 1st - April 5th. This is a week to recognize graduate and professional students, graduate assistants, research assistants and teaching assistants for all the hard work they do for Texas A&M University and the community.  
Professional Networking Workshop
Hosted by: The Graduate Student Council
When: April 3, 2013 at 5:30pm
Where: MSC Stark Galleries
 The workshop is FREE for all graduate and professional students and begins at 5:30pm in the Stark Galley in the MSC. At the workshop students will be provided an opportunity to learn and refine their networking skills including how to introduce yourself, how to professionally "break-into" conversations, and how to network while holding food and drink. Free appetizers and drink will be provided to those in attendance. Our guest host and instructor for the workshop is Mrs. Sally Dee Wade who currently serves as lecturer and writing consultant for the Bush School. Mrs. Wade has years of experience hosting professional development workshops ranging from principles of communication to etiquette dinners and networking events.
 *Although registering for the "Mingle and Network" workshop is not required to attend the event, we kindly ask you to RSVP at gsc.tamu.edu/MingleandNetwork so we can insure enough food and drink.

Grad Day at Blue Bell Park Baseball Field  
Hosted by: The Graduate Student Council
When: Sunday, April 7th
Where: TAMU Baseball field
Time: Game starts at 1:05pm
Tickets will be provided at the baseball field by the Graduate Student Council 30 minutes before the event. The 100 tickets will be given out on a first come first served basis so please join us! For more information please contact gsc@tamu.edu.
