The A&M Garden Club would like to
coordinate with some TAMU students in a project. This is short notice, but we
need 3 to 5 students to volunteer to help plant some tomatoes and peppers
today, Monday, April 1, at 3:30 pm in a project with SOS, 1700 Groesbeck,
Bryan. If you could broadcast to students requesting help today, they could
e-mail me j-cohen@aggienetwork.com
or call 979-690-3500.
This SOS community educational outreach would help the TAMU students develop and enhance skills and provide educational outreach. Your sharing of basic horticultural information with elementary students would be a great community project. This could also be a research project or a community outreach. Possible times might be Mondays, April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6 at 3:30 pm. SOS and the A&M Garden Club will furnish the plants and materials. We plan to plant some tomatoes and peppers on Monday, April 1, and continue with classes each week for additional plantings and teaching. TAMU students would provide the teaching and bring your garden trowel to help plant. -- Jane Cohen, PhD, A&M Garden Club
